2001 Prizm Cluster w/tach upgrade?

Hello,

The prizm I purchased has the "base" cluster, in that it has MPH only. I would like to swap my cluster with a tachometer version. I have read over at the CorolLand forums that the toyota cluster swaps are plug and play, however I want to check if there are differences with the Prizm.

1. Does anyone have experience swapping a cluster out with their prizm?
2. Is it plug and play just the same as Corollas?
3. Which clusters are compatible with my 2001?

thanks!

Re: 2001 Prizm Cluster w/tach upgrade?

Yes the Cluster is plug and play with a corolla. I have an 01 Prizm and I put in a dash from an 02 corolla. One thing you will probably want to do once you get it in is add the Outside Temperature Sensor. The wiring is already there in front of the radiator, you just need to plug in the sensor. Cost $75 bucks from the Dealer and I picked one up from a junk yard off a corolla for $20 bucks
