New headgasket - valve lash adjustment on '91 Z28 305

Can anyone recommend a good book, manual or website where I can get good information/instruction on how to change a headgasket. My biggest concern is valve lash adjustment and other potential problems I may run into.
My skills as a mechanic are average for an amateur and I love the challenge of trying something new. I just lack the experience

Thanks

The best advice I can give is a Haynes manual

Got a Haynes for my "95 Tahoe 5.7L. Is the procedure the same or similar for both engines?
