Light show under hood!burnchassis3 09-04-2007, 10:24 PM Testing my realitively new wires tonight ..i see they are garbage..I also seen under the distributor cap was glowing like an electric blue ,same as the wires shorting out.Blazer runnin I lightly sprayed a mist of water on the engine...seen shorts everywhere, but the distributor worried me most. is that normal to be able to see the arc through the top of the dist lid?? Can someone check theirs for me ? Possibly a sign of whats next to go? Thanks!! CS taillight 09-05-2007, 08:58 AM Not normal. Replace cap, rotor and wires. 534BC 09-05-2007, 05:03 PM You can see sparks thru most wires, but if you hear it "snap" and it's jumping out to a ground then it is misfiring. Water will cause even real good sytems to jump and short. DINO55 09-05-2007, 06:00 PM I Highly Recommend 9mm Taylor Ignition Wires, and AC Delco Cap/rotor old_master 09-05-2007, 07:00 PM I'll second that! "Good Part's ain't Cheap, Cheap Parts ain't Good" ^^^ pretty much says it all ^^^ dksram 05-09-2011, 04:04 AM I Highly Recommend 9mm Taylor Ignition Wires, and AC Delco Cap/rotor Source code for that DGAD message? rprough 05-27-2011, 07:47 AM Dont mistake arcing to ground for a corona discharge.
