The problem i have had for a while is that somthing is wrong with my malibu's Automatic Light Control. The ALC does not turn off, the lights are always on. This wouldn't be such a big deal if it did not dim the instrument Panel. On really sunny days is almost impossible to see the time and odometer. it will shut off if you set the parking break but no matter what time of the day or the weather, the lights are always on. I have tried to clean what i thought was the sensor with no change. I was wondering if anybody knew of an easy fix. I dont really want to have to replace to much if its expencive or a ton of work.

All the lights or just the map lights. If all the lights might be the PCM

If not just the fuse driver side it must be there

The headlights are always on like they would be if the switch was on, if i take the relay thing out under the hood, the lights work only with the switch. is there a way to fix the automatic lights?

I was looking through other threads and found that the sensor could have dropped down, if it did, or the wireing is bad i need to get under the defrost vent. Does it just pull up and out, or will the break it?
