GRRRR SkylineUSA 11-30-2002, 05:46 PM But when it does, holy $hit is it going to be awesome. I bet its killing you, I know if I was without mine for more than a week, I would be going ape shit. Good Luck, and I hope she is home real soon. MrSky 12-01-2002, 08:49 AM im up in the air right now if i should go with a bigger single turbo or bigger twins. Since it will be making about 600 at the wheels on the 25-30 hks spinners and has good low end response, should i mess with success? But the massive power figure looming when another 700+ car is around would be quite fun... you guys let me know of a twin setup that has a decently good response that youve heard or used. thanks! sami 12-01-2002, 10:40 AM It really depends... What are you going to use the car for? I'm hoping you're being a good boy and say road racing. If so, 2530's will be great for you. :) MrSky 12-01-2002, 10:42 AM Ya mostly road racing and a little bit of drag just for kicks. I think the 25/30's are doing me well. Any other suggestions? sami 12-01-2002, 03:21 PM Originally posted by MrSky Ya mostly road racing and a little bit of drag just for kicks. I think the 25/30's are doing me well. Any other suggestions? What else are you going to have in the car? MrSky 12-02-2002, 10:37 AM Well ive replaced everything in the car with something new or better. Heres what ive done so far... HKS 25/30's ported and polished HKS Intercooler piping kit HKS Pop filters HKS Fuel Rail HKS Fuel pump HKC 272 Cams <---forgot! eheh 700cc injectors Alcohol Injection Ported and polished Exhaust manifolds 3inch Downpipes, no cat, 4inch HKS titanium exhaust (got it for a deal or else i would have got the JIC) HKS twin plate clutch with JUN flywheel NISMO Shoft shift kit Arias Custom 87mm pistons New valves, springs, retainers and lifters Custom extensivly ported head by some top racer in japan (his name is slipping from me hehe...) HKS EIDS's (idle stabilizer needed when installing IC Piping) All the meters you can think of... hehe Splitfire Ignition Coils (from japan no the splitfire spark plugs) Denso Iridium Plugs B&M New Volt (massive increase of spark highly reccommened) All Stainless steel lines by Earls Ground Wire Kit Optima Blue top battery 3 All new engine harnesses Power FC Pro with commander and boost kit Tuned by XS Engineering Some lightweight Volk wheels and EBC Green pads on crossdrilled rotors Then a few stereo doodads and alarm All that is stock engine wise is the valves, rods, and crank. Which humorusly cost 2000usd each (titanium valves, forged rods, billet crank) So i ask again what do you guys think about the HKS 3037's or comparable? sami 12-02-2002, 10:50 AM Originally posted by MrSky All that is stock engine wise is the valves, rods, and crank. Which humorusly cost 2000usd each (titanium valves, forged rods, billet crank) That's a long list you have there but something is missing...cams. Forgot them from the list or do you have stock cams? Originally posted by MrSky So i ask again what do you guys think about the HKS 3037's or comparable? Not for you if you intend to road race. I've heard HKS GT-RS is quite good, flows a little more than 2530 or 2540, and also spools up a little quicker. Not sure if they are worth it to replace 2530's since you already have them, unless you can sell the 2530's for good money. I also don't have any info on the price of GT-RS, 2530's should be around $1500/turbo, propably even less by now. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/gtrs/gtrs.html moondog 12-22-2002, 05:49 AM Like it says in my profile, I ride the Great Silver Whale. :D There are some old pics on my (in major need of updating) web-page: link in my sig. R33 12-23-2002, 10:17 PM Erm....back to the original question...the answer is...I do too....:) Gtr2.7L 12-25-2002, 08:47 AM Me too. By the way everybody...I have been transferred back state-side....and the car is due to arrive at Motorex within the week! SkylineUSA 12-25-2002, 08:57 AM Cool, nice to hear form you guys again Gtr2.7L and R33. Gonthrax 12-25-2002, 01:37 PM Originally posted by R33 Erm....back to the original question...the answer is...I do too....:) Hey R33, were the hell have you been!? Oh, and MrSky. If your interested in competing with a 700+ car. I would say sell the 2530s and look into the GT-RS or 2540s. As for Big Single vs Twins. I'd stick with the twins unless you wanted to go for drag race only. And if you wanted to do that, you wouldn't have gotten a GTR ;) R33 12-25-2002, 07:51 PM Hey Gonth n Sky n everyone, yeah....good to be back! Have been buried in work n nothing else over the past few months n now hopefully there will be time to breath.
