1984 Camaro Berlinetta, speedometer and rpm gage not workingryderrocks69 08-30-2007, 11:26 PM I bought a 84 Camaro a few weeks ago and the car is mint. There is only one problem with the car. Well the dash is all digital so the speedometer and rpm gage is all digital. Now the the speedometer and rpm gage, the kms on the car dont show, siginal light when on will not light up othing at all only a few light on the right side saying fuel and a green ok when it is started. I am thinking it is either a light blud gone or the computer cluster is fryed do anybody know the problem? ikeyballz 08-31-2007, 04:32 AM is there backlight at all? if not, one of the backlit bulbs could have gone out.. but if it did, in sunlight you should be able to see stuff really faintly..? ryderrocks69 08-31-2007, 10:05 PM I could not see anything at all. i really don`t think computer panel is fryed becasue would the light on the right side blow too and not light when the car started if it was. phreakb0y 02-21-2008, 04:12 PM I had the same problem with my 84 berlinetta. There is a guy in Rhode Island that owns a couple of them and he is the resident expert on Thirdgen.org. His name is John and when my digital dash went out he sold me a reburbished one in exchange for my old one. He's pretty smart when it comes to third generation camaros. Here is his website. http://www.berlinetta.info/ You can reach him there.
