Intake, Exhasut, Gears, and whatever else a search of the forum tells you to do.

Auto or manual?

Airbox lid, catback are the easy, cheaper mods.

Re: 2000 Trans am WS6

6 spd and ive got k&n filter and a muffler with two tailpipes installed and the exhaust sounds good and everything until i hit about 3k rpms then it makes a raspy sound that sounds like crap my check engine light is on and the diagnostic says that the issue is in the catalytic area so maybe a converter or a sensor, but would be causing this sound because it sounds fine when i either go over 3k rpms or just dont go that high

Re: 2000 Trans am WS6

What muffler?
Some of the rasp comes from the stock y-pipe (and some aftermarket ones). The flow doesn't meet evenly and it distorts the sound.

I would recommend an airbox lid and a Magnaflow catback.
And obviously figure out the issue with the cats/sensors.
