2001 GTP_ABS/TCS Sensor

I have a 2001 Pontiac GTP, had to get an alignment and now my ABS/TCS light keeps coming on and off. Seems to be off in the AM but comes on in the PM. Service engine light has been an issue too. Any advice on how to fix this? This vehicle is starting to become very expensive.

Re: 2001 GTP_ABS/TCS Sensor

The ABS/Trac Off lights are probably related to a bad wheel speed sensor (or the wiring to it) in the hub bearing. Replacement of the wheel speed sensor will require the hub to be changed, as the sensor is an integral part of the hub.

I had a similar thing happening to my car. Going over bumps and sharp turns would set the abs light, turns out its the wire going from the control arm to the wheel bearing. Look for a broken wire there or play with the connector it seems to be of a very poor design. Also ensure the the connectors are clipped snugly into the mount.
