87 si fi civic with an idea lxndr

ok so i am new to this forum and to the import scene my last good project was a 2003 stang gt but i really like how well this little civic handles any way i have been reading for several days about this car on this forum and from what i have gathered lxndr really knows his stuff

so here is my idea what do you guys think about a stock d15a3(my engine) with d16a1 dohc head mounted block bored out to take the integra pistons arp bolts what do you think of that what do tou think the hp would be would it work lxndr what do you think my intention is to get a block and head that is used and strip it and build a very high compression high torq engine n/a no turbo with every mod known to the 3rd gen civic engine and exaust i am trying to compile that and in the forum it has been said that you can bore it out and put the teg pistons in and you can mount this head with some mods but can they go together the exaust is the easy part let me know

You can use the Teg pistons, but the head swap will require some fabrication. The problem with swapping the head is that there is no timing belt available for this swap, so you will need to relocate the timing belt idler pulley.

IMHO, It's better to swap the whole D16A1 and tranny. Less work, better tranny, equal length axles, and better results.

BTW, Here's my buddy's Civic:

It's a long thread, but maybe you will find some inspiration.
