1999 accord

hey i had some trouble with my accord... it was heating up like super fast.. i replaced my radiator cap n the temperature is still going up.. should i change the thermostat also??

Could be the thermo not telling the fans to kick in. I assume you checked your coolant? Does your a/c work? If you turn the heat on full blast does the engine temp drop?

i check the coolant its all good.. the ac works fine... n the heater also... there is something strange about it when im in a red light the car heats up but if i put it in neutral n step on the gas it goes down

Have you check the Thermal Stat?

If your car never have a new one before, it's time to change!

It controls how much coolant to go into the engine, bad thermal stat will not give the right amount of coolant into the engine or worse not at all.

If you don't have leaks then you shouldn't have to mess with the radiator and the hoses.
