Angry If only I could get it right (suspension)

I love my '00 GT except for my suspension. I upgraded (or should I say downgraded) to KYB struts & mounts, Gen 2 SSC lowering springs along with anti pogo washers. My GT is ridiculously bouncy at highway speeds (its almost dangerous) & extremely harsh when traveling over bumps in the city. I chose the Gen 2 SSC lowering springs only because they claim to drop 1" & I didn't want a big drop. I have Goodyear tires (I'd have to take a look for the model) that are 3mths old. My GT could be a joy to drive if I could get this suspension right, it's too expensive to keep swapping things out (I don't have the facilities to do it myself). If I was to go with stock springs & struts would this make a difference?

Re: If only I could get it right (suspension)

I hope someone helps you with your question. Because this is the next mod I want to do. Simply lower my car 0.75” to 1.0" without destroying the nice ride characteristics I have now. If anyone has a good “formula,” it would be great if you posted it here…. Thks in advance.

Re: If only I could get it right (suspension)

I did some searching before I even touched my suspension & some people claim their ride is great, others have a bit of bounce to their ride. The majority claim the ride is good. I guess I fall into the other category.

If you didn't get the car re-aligned, that could be part of your scary ride. Are you saying the car is very harsh riding now, or that it is now hard to control/bouncing around?
