Code P0440

The Check engine light came on last week in my 97 Cavalier. I took it to have the code read and it came back as P0440...the only explanation it gave was a fuel system failure.

Anyone have any idea what a code P0440 is? Or what it could point to? Thanks for your help!

By the way, the car runs fine and, yes, the fuel cap is on tight...

If your certain you gas cap is tight, then you might be in some trouble. You probably have a leak somewhere in your fuel system. Check your lines and hoses for leaks.
