Ram Air lid question
Hi all. I was wondering if a Ram Air lid will fit a formula model. Of course mine hood isn't a ram air one. I need a new lid and i can get a good deal on a ram air lid. If it fits, will the engine sound different because of the silencer? Many thanks.

Re: Ram Air lid question
A lid is a lid.

Re: Ram Air lid question
Might sound a tad different because it is sucking in more air.

Re: Ram Air lid question
If it fits, is going to be a little snug due to a bigger space right at the bottom of where the lid goes, if you notice the ram air and the formula's hoods have that cowl. if I find any pics ill post them. this answer is for the 98-02 models, I would assume its the same on older models.

Re: Ram Air lid question
oh yeah, on the sound, it will sound different but not to much out the exhaust but off of the throttle.

I was going to mention that but was looking for pics to prove my point. Found a ram air pic but not a stocker non ram air.

Re: Ram Air lid question
Thanks for the replies guys. It appears that the last owner of the vehicle replaced the lid with an aftermarket one such as the slp type. I'll try to get the same one. Thanks.
