Question 1990 Toyota Tercel Timing Belt Replacement

I REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND MUCH ABOUT THE WAY THE TIMING BELT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SET BUT I AM WORKING MY WAY IN. i WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE ONE WOULD HAVE BEING I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE. DO I NEED TO REMOVE MY MOTOR MOUNTS?
