Cayenne Roadtest
The Cayenne Turbo has been acclaimed as a great car - i mean, SUV to drive by all roadtests ive seen on it. The Turbo hits 60 in 5.6 and tops out at 165 mph, which is awesome for a 2350kg (5000lbs!) car and its pretty good off-road too! Porsche has really achieved something superb with this car, dammit i mean SUV, but it still doesnt rank as a Porsche for me. I dont care if it has 450bhp, it just doesnt look right... too "thin" at the front.... and why are those front iair ntakes so damn huge? Couldnt the top centre intake be taken out entirely? It would make the car look so much better! Maybe someone handy with Photoshop could show us what that would look like?
cheers,
Jay

Oh it's tall alright, i dont have the exact dimensions but its pretty damn big, should be the same size as its Range Rover and BMW competitors. It weights 2.3 tonnes and can tow a further 3.5 tonnes!

Maximum ground clearance is 10.75 inches, which gives you an idea about how high it sits.

Yeah it is. Im looking at a picture in a magazine where the Cayenne is pictured next to a 911. The 911's roofline is approximately level with the bottom of the Cayenne's side windows. It completely dwarfs it.

Cayenne= everything an SUV should be- although I am not a fan of the front end styling (Althought that may grow on me) It has THE greatest off-raod ability out of ANY SUV (aside from the Hummer H1- that doesn't REALLY count as an SUV) it kicks the X5's but ON the road and is a legend in the performance stakes- especially considering its size- It is claimed that the Turbo is capable of 0-100 kph in UNDER 5 seconds that is fucking legendary. I would like to see that claim backed up though.
Also there is the unchallenged reliability record of Porsche and the utmost Luxury

It's incredible indeed. You have the 0-100kph time wrong though. No one said it was under 5 secs, or if someone did they were talking crap, it does 0-60mph / 0-100kph in 5.6s... pretty f*cking quick nonetheless!

btw, it sold out for the year already. The year's production of 25,000 units has been met with 25,000 orders... looks like some people cant resist the idea of a Porsche off-roader... it's almost beginning to grow on me... almost
