03 Cavalier Won't Run!

I have an '03 Cavalier that will not stay running and sometimes won't even start. As soon as it turns over I hear a clicking noise from the steering column (which I'm assuming is the computer system reseting over and over again), all or just some of the lights flash and then the car dies without sputtering. Any ideas?......

Re: 03 Cavalier Won't Run!

start by checking your battery connections for tightness and corrosion . have your alternator and battery tested also

Re: 03 Cavalier Won't Run!

the battery is about a month old and according to my volt meter, it still has full charge.....when I changed the battery, I checked both ends of the cable and they looked fine and neither of the posts were corroded....I also did and alternator check and my nifty little machine said it was ok.......the check engine light has been on in this car for some time now and the diagonstic machine said it failed on emissions. Could it be something in the fuel line such as the filter or pump that is causing this? Would that even cause the electronics to continuously reset?
