I've actually got it on my 95 3.4. You're best bet for a reasonable price on one is looking on ebay. I got mine from RKSport on ebay for only $555 shipped to my door. I love the tone it gives, and I love the adjustable plates it comes with. With those you can really change out the sound and performance of the system. I highly recommend it, and even more HIGHLY recommend that you stay away from Flowmaster. I have to admit, that at idle Flowmaster sounds good on the 3.4's, but once you get on it, it sounds like absolute crap.

Here's a vid of mine at idle:

Thank blind, do you know any legit web sites that sell them for the average price. I see them go between 650-850. But I dont want to go get scammed off some non legit company post a few if you dont mind.

If you find them for $650, then that's really a good deal. The one I got retailed for over $800. You're really not going to find any cheap prices on them. That's like finding a top notch great condition Mercedes for only 3 grand. Just not going to happen, and if it does, there's bound to be problems. Just keep a lookout on ebay, that's the only suggestion I can recommend if you're trying to find the cheapest one you can.

In fact, here's a used system going right now:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-02...ayphotohosting
Not a bad price either so far at $202.50.

Or you can just get this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02...ayphotohosting
It's not an entire cat-back, nor is it the one that uses the adjustable plates. But it looks good nonetheless.

Otherwise if deals like those don't interest you, then be prepared to spend over $800 + shipping on a new cat-back system.

Re: 1994 Pontiac Firebird V6 3.4L Looking For Borla Exhaust

I am interested in getting some kind of exhaust for my '01 firebird. I know they sound good at idle. But when you get on it, does it go back to sounding like that high pitched noise that all v6's have?

To be honest, you'll never get rid of that loud ricey sound that the V6's have. The 3.8's actually sound alot worse than the 3.4's. I hear that alot of 3.8 guys really love Dynomax, that it helps tame down that high pitched sound.

Ah, sorry about that, I tend to forget to check my PM's. I used to have the AVS clip on blackout covers, have since gotten rid of them. Yes, they're illegal in all 50 states. It really just comes down to how strict the cops are in your area.

After I got rid of those blackout covers, I got a set of 93-97 Trans Am/Formula grid style tail lights, and used VHT Nightshade (which is also illegal) on them. It's a form of spray paint that allows light to shine through, kind of like the blackout covers. Here's some pics of how it looks now:
Pic 1
Pic 2
Pic 3 - running lights on
Pic 4 - With hazards on (couldn't press the brake and take a pic at the same time)

I've never ben hasseled by any cops for my tail lights

Just picked up the lights on ebay a while back, can't remember for how much. They're not that expensive.

Look on ebay, and search for "Carsound." They're cat. converters made by Borla, and are very reasonably priced. Just make sure you get the one that has NO places for the o2 sensors. They sell a variety of them, some with none, with 1, or with 2 places for the o2 sensors. Since your car doesnt have o2 sensors on the cat then you need the one that doesn't have any places for them. You'll see what I'm talking about when you look at them.

Sorry for the response delay. I'm not really sure of the "technical" name. I call them grid style, some people call them waffle style/pattern. They're the ones that came on the 93-97 Formulas/Trans Ams. I couldn't find a set on ebay either, they come and go, so just try to keep your eye out for them.
