quick question

yeah i still haven't gotten my gto yet because they can never fix it (going on 4 weeks now). Does anyone know how long it would take to tune a LS1 with the sts turbo while running 40lb injectors, they are telling me it will take 4 full days days and that sounds ridiculous to me, but i am not knowledgeable with tunes at all. thanks in advance

Re: quick question

I could see it taking a good chunk of a day, but not DAYS. Between the dyno runs, computer tuning, and cool-down, it could take awhile, but not that long.

Re: quick question

to be honest i have no idea what software they are using, i finally got told why it would take till monday though, the wastegate for the turbo is bad, so they have to wait on the part for that, it would kinda be nice if they told me these things, because i was going to say there is something wrong if it was going to take 4 days, so it all makes a lot more sense now, thanks for your help guys

Re: quick question

Sounds like a pretty basic set-up. I am sure they have seen them before.

2-3 hours at the most.

Wait....15PSI on a stock LS1??? 40 pound injectors aren't big enough. Motor won't hold.
What other changes have been made to the motor?

Re: quick question

he said the bottom end was forged i think in the begining..i think... but he may need bigger injectors..im running 1400 psi of boost on a hot day with the spray and my injectors are stock and cant take the load on that kindda boost so i know hes screwed!! bigger!!

Re: quick question

lol yeah they told me wrong, 8-10 is what it will be running on high boost, 5 psi for everyday, they guy before me beat the shit out of it and ran it at 16 psi, needless to say thats why the engine blew, still havent gotten it yet, they said ill get it tomorrow as all it needs is a dyno tune now (i guess they were tuning the turbo before, maybe), but when/if i get it tomorrow ill post some pics of it up and i asked them for a print out of the dyno run so ill throw that in there as well (5 psi) if they give me the print out, im thinking its going to be about 425 at the wheels or atleast thats what people have been getting with similar setups
