Re: the bc4

What year is it? I have a 97 b4c. I have a rear mail seal leak, I'll get it fixed when it becomes a problem because I don't have the money right now. When I dyno'ed it a few years ago i was getting 220 rwhp and around 240ft/tq if I recall correctly.

Re: the bc4

1996 Trans Am with headers will be making a little over 300 hp, about what your LS1 makes (sorry, its just a myth that the B4C cop cars got beefed up engines/computer controls).

Its a drivers race IMO.

Re: the bc4

what kind of CAI? your next mod could be an exhaust or little mods that add up like a trick flow intake elbow, air foil etc.... if you've got the money and are good with cars it's easier to do the headers at the same time as the exhaust

Re: the bc4

no, not enought to be noticeable... i think you would gain more in mpg than hp... you might gain a few but not a ton

Re: the bc4

From what I have seen, the b4c package had the sport suspension, factory tranny and oil line coolers, 4 wheel disc and the speed limiter removed.

A 96 TA with headers won't be making anywhere close to 300 hp. Even with a tune. Sure, LT's help, but not that much.

Re: the bc4

I just find it funny he's forever tagged himself as "bc4 boy"

Almost as bad as Cameroguy

Sorry, just find that amusing.

300 would be hp at the crank not the rear wheels

Re: the bc4

an estimate for an m6 would be the 275 minus 15% for drivetrain loss i think autos are closer to 20%... but then again you also have to figure a lot of the LT1's had underrated hp #s from the factory (didn't want to upstage the corvette)
