what was the first year for the 174hp daytona shelby Z?
was it 1987 or 1988 that the daytona shelby z first got the 174hp turbo 2.2 liter?

the first year was 87, but gaining recognition took about a year so I could see how you got 88 there.

1st year shelby z
the 1st year was 1987 . i have an 87 shelby z with 93000 miles in my drive way. gotta love those 2.2 turbos.

Ahhh, I see. I disappoint myself.
And, yeah, I do love the 2.2L one of the most bulletproof 4cyl engines ever made. Pair that with a Garrett turbo and you have a winning combo.
