94 Prizm tail light short

After a rear-ending incident a couple of month ago my instrumental panel along with tail lights completely went out, turns out it was nothing more but a burnt out fuse, after replacing the fuse the car was fine once again. But now, about 3 month later, after getting all of the belts in my car replaced the tail light fuse keeps burning out (seems to be a short). My dad recommended that I replace all of the lights, which I did with no effect what so ever, I was then recommended to replace the two relays that are connected to the tail lights but I have no idea what so ever as to which of the two relays they are.

If anyone could suggest where to look or any other causes for a short it would be greatly appreciated.

PS: 1994 Geo Prizm LSi 148k miles, I change my own oil regularly and take good care of the car.

Re: 94 Prizm tail light short

I had the same problem before. there's some short circuit somewhere. did u recently take off any light(turning light, or taillight?). just try to take them off and look for suspecious short circuit.I took my turning light off and dragged a little, put them back on, it's fixed. yes, sounds wierd, but that's it good luck
