Windows dont role up, all gauges dead

This might be the wrong place but This is my first post ever. ok my radio got stollen like a week ago, last night I got a new harness and radio and the Red 12v power cable was dead (checked w/ a multimeter).....I though it was broke or something, so I just used the yellow (always on) 12v got everything hooked up...working fine, right? Well not quite....now my power windows are dead all dummy lights, speedometer, my seat, and i think thats it. BUT now the red 12v works (checked w/ multimeter)....ALL at the same time. All the fuses checked fine and hell I even replaced them. I dont think it has anything to do w/ a broke or crossed wire, and I took the new radio out. HELP?!?!?!

Re: Windows dont role up, all gauges dead

Sorry to hear about your radio. I'm suprised that radios are still being stolen considering the availability of better radios for sale at the discount electronics stores. Your problem, as described, leads me to ask some questions. When you talk about red and yellow wires, are you referring to the colors for an aftermarket radio or something from Honda? I may be wrong, but the only solid color wire I've seen is black. All the others are a color with a stripe. So unless you can trace it back to the original Honda wire, I have problems tracing it back to the source. The use of a meter is a good thing for troubleshooting, but you need to find the wiring diagram for your car either from the library or from a Chilton's or similar manual. My experience goes to the 84-03 Accords and the 96-98 Civics but Honda doesn't change wiring schemes much between models so if you can tell us more, we maybel can give you some help.
