Not by true american muscle fans. 5) which would you rathar have? Camaro 6) why is a 1995 Honda Civic and a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse so desired? some people just like slow cars??? :iceslolan 7) Can a 1995 Honda Civic, a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse and a 2006 Nissan 350 z be compared to a ferarri more so than a 1997 camaro z28 based on power to weight ratio and maneuverability than the 1997 camaro z28 which is driven mainly by power and not maneuverability? the camaro is not as bad in maneuverability as you think it is.. it can be made to handle really well.. and for the weight of a camaro.. the power to weight issue is not as bad as you think it is.. Look at it this way.. Honda Civic.. weighs 2231.. but has at the most 130 HP Mitsubishi Eclipse.. weighs 3079 HP 210 Nissan 350 z weighs 3188-3347 lbs(coupe), 3445-3479 lbs(convertible) HP 287 - 300 Camaro Z28 weighs 3306 - 3440 for the vert. HP 275-310 hotrod_chevyz 07-28-2007, 03:11 PM comparing apples and oranges... poormillionaire2 07-28-2007, 04:12 PM Two different types of cars for different people. If you posted this in the Nissan forum, I'm sure the answers would be different. 'Better' is a viewpoint, an opinion term. Both have more desirable features than the other, but one isn't a declared 'better' car. Its just whatever you like. Personally, I like camaros over 350Z's (if that isn't obvious). 2.2 Straight six 07-28-2007, 06:02 PM because god wanted it that way. end of. ikeyballz 07-28-2007, 09:44 PM yeh. just to tell you, 350z's are slower than LT1 powered cars. i raced one a few weeks back, killed it every time. i have 6 speed, he had 6 speed. stock for stock but it might have been a different story at the track, seeing how im gonna have to throw around a few hundred more pounds down the track then he is, and how his car is supposed to be revved up. its all in what you want. anyone on this forum will prolly never turn down a free 350..but if we had a choice, to buy a 06 350 or a TPI/LT1/LS1 camaro and build it with the leftover money.. 99.99999% will take the camaro/bird. so in other words.. stupid question. philly rs 07-28-2007, 10:35 PM :banhim: ikeyballz 07-28-2007, 10:44 PM :1: :1: :banhim: stepho 07-28-2007, 10:51 PM :banhim: :iagree: Is this guy a troll or just an idiot? I can't tell. Genopsyde 07-29-2007, 01:49 AM chill out, nothing wrong with those questions. much better read than all the ex-girlfriend drama crap in the banter thread. 89Firebird2.8 07-29-2007, 02:25 AM I wouldn't neccessarily say the 350Z is more desired either, it's just that the punks who own them are typically louder about it. Blackcrow64 07-29-2007, 07:32 AM IMO this is completely retarded... Why do you ask us such random questions comparing so many cars to each other? Are you just collecting group answers to buy a car that seems to be "the cool car to drive"? I sure hope thats not the case, cause that would be completely retarded to do... So, why are you so bent over Z28's, 97's specifically, and comparing them to Ferrari's and random Japanese cars? I expect a serious reply here... ikeyballz 07-29-2007, 08:16 AM hmm. actually, to answer your question more, a civic's power to weight ratio is NOT more then a camaros.. as : a civic has (stock) ~150hp.. and a camaro has 300.. and im pretty sure teh civic isnt 2000 lbs! 1986Z28 07-29-2007, 01:02 PM thread isnt retarded thihs fucking kid is, every thread is basically bashing his supposed camaro and promoting the imports, no wants to answer these kinds of qestion, because WE OWN CAMAROS!!!!!! just stop asking these kind of questions PLEASE! Firebirdlad03 07-29-2007, 01:20 PM thread isnt retarded thihs fucking kid is, every thread is basically bashing his supposed camaro and promoting the imports, no wants to answer these kinds of qestion, because WE OWN CAMAROS!!!!!! just stop asking these kind of questions PLEASE! Not to be mean..but this portland kid or w/e is the same retard that wanted to know how to make his camaro sound like a ferrari, i wish i could prove it but blownalcoholboy is right, this fuckin kid dosent have a camaro, its probly his dads, or uncles, and hes probly about 13 and thinks fast and the furious is the shit......:wtf: ...:banhim: Mr. Luos 07-29-2007, 01:50 PM Alright guys...let off a little. He wants something different out of his car on a limited budget. Obviously learning as he goes along. Please try to help, regardless of how redundant the questions get. Otherwise, try to refrain from posting. Now...as for this question. The 350Z is a decent little car. My younger brother has one. Although I let him drive my Trans Am over to my parents house (capped to 515RWHP) and I drove his 350Z over. I had to clean up before going there, so he got there earlier. Anyways, I guess he came into my parents house shaking. Sold him on power. :grinyes: On to the driving of the 350Z. Felt REALLY tight. Much better handling than my heavy Trans Am. But it wasn't nearly as fast as the stock version of my car. Nice car though. I would miss backseats though....as I can at least take my 6 month old daughter for a ride in the Trans Am. 2.2 Straight six 07-29-2007, 02:51 PM i've driven both Camaros and 350Zs, they're very different cars. yes, they're both 2-door coupés or convertibles, but they appeal to different markets and desires. you could compare them, but only in some perspectives. Savage Messiah 07-29-2007, 02:54 PM I rarely see 350z's. Reason being they kinda suck, I've driven one 2.2 Straight six 07-29-2007, 03:00 PM they don't suck, they're pretty good cars. good handling, decent power etc.. philly rs 07-29-2007, 03:38 PM :banhim: im not buying it!!!!!!!! hotrod_chevyz 07-29-2007, 05:37 PM if your going to compare a 350z to anything compare it to some of the new roadsters. goldz28 07-30-2007, 12:28 AM Ok guys, Lets not call anyone a retard some of us might take it personal. Like me, I have a mentally challenged sister and I hate the word RETARD. However this kid does start threads and from what I have seen never post in them again. Something fishy is going on. lol Stop the name calling That is all Genopsyde 07-30-2007, 01:23 AM maybe it's john screwing with all of us. izzydjinn 07-30-2007, 03:41 AM True, different cars for different tastes. 350s are easier to modify with simply aftermarket add ons as for the maros or birds you have to tweak the engine which is more expensive. and yeah, dont compare italian(ferraris) with japanese(hondas) ikeyballz 07-30-2007, 04:10 AM True, different cars for different tastes. 350s are easier to modify with simply aftermarket add ons as for the maros or birds you have to tweak the engine which is more expensive. and yeah, dont compare italian(ferraris) with japanese(hondas) not true my man.. im pretty sure you will get more bang for your buck modding a maro/bird with the typical exhaust, intake, cat removal, turbo, etc.. its just that no one ever does that to a camaro cuz its cheaper (And better results) to just mod the engine, where as with a 350 if you want to mod the engine.. you pretty much have to spend a pretty penny to get it eithier really high comp + big turbo or real high revvin.. im not dissin the 350, i had fun racing it, and i know for a fact it can handle better then my (stock) heavy maro.. BoostedMKIV 07-30-2007, 06:59 AM I'm confused... what does a stock LT1 Slowmaro run in the 1/4? 13s or 14s? Honesty, folks. Blackcrow64 07-30-2007, 07:19 AM Ok guys, Lets not call anyone a retard some of us might take it personal. Like me, I have a mentally challenged sister and I hate the word RETARD. Sorry... If it helps, I was making reference to the thread itself being retarded, not the kid starting it... You are right though, something is goin on here... I'm gonna look more into it later today when I get a chance... wrightz28 07-30-2007, 09:55 AM As a parent to a 'mentally challenged' child, I will not tolerate the flagrent use of the word "retard" in the text it is being appied. NOR Will these "which is better" yada yada threads. Portland if you feel the need to spark the comparisons up, use the "Car Comparisons" forum here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=666 Next thread started here identical to this and the others will be immediately closed and deleted, period done. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
