Question 2002 camaro temperature?

hey everyone.. i have a quick question? Is is normal for my 2002 camaro v-6 auto transmission to have a coolant temperature of 210? the car runs great but it was just a concern. iv have never had a vehicle run at this temperature and be normal.. thanks for the help -Brett

If you don't like it running that hot, you can always get a lower t-stat and reprogram the fans to come on sooner. Or you can get a manual fan switch so you can turn on the fans whenever you want. Just a thought.

Yeah, as Poor has stated you could lower the temp a little bit for peace of mind and performancel designed these running hot, the fans don't even kick on until 230ish

I wouldn't do anything too radical as it is a 35th anniv.

Just to add, when it does get that hot, you can always blast the heater on 100% and that will help alleviate the heat also. I tend to do that in the hot summer months.

Well, yes. I'm cheaper to repair than the car is. Sweating is a better alternative than engine repair. But with the windows down and putting it on defrost, you don't really feel the heat too much. It pretty much hits the windshield and out the windows.
