When I depress the Parking Brake Pedal it holds. When I depress it again to release it, it won't return. I can pull it back up with my foot. No brake work done recently. This problem just started. Any ideas? Thanks

well im guessing the return spring is worn out or if the parking prake doesnt work it could be a streched or broken cable again just guessing my pedal wont stay up all the way on my 91 nyr im pretty sure the cable is broken or streched i havent looked at it yet i just bought the car a couple weeks ago n its been too cold out to do anything hope i could be of any help
