Smoke!!!

98 Blazer 157,000 miles. I started her up this morning and I blew smoke that stank very bad for about 2 or 3 minutes, couldn't even see through it! Once driving and she stopped idling rough it did not happen again. Full tune up last year, new fuel pump and filter, maf and tb have been cleaned about once every 3 months. I have Mobil 1 5W30 with an AC Delco filter and about 4K on the oil and filter which the oil still looks nice and gold. Any reason why I ran sluggish and blew all kinds of smoke? Please ask any questions you need torunaround

Re: Smoke!!!

I would check the plugs. See if there is crud building up on them. When was the last time you checked or replaced the plugs and wires? Pull the plugs and that might give you and idea of what is being burned in the combustion chamber.

Re: Smoke!!!

My guess would be sticky valve. (poor idle, blue/stinky smoke)

Re: Smoke!!!

So more bad news, started her up yesterday and she bucked but kept running while I idled but it was very rough and I blew a ton of smoke out and the smell of gas was awful! Also there was a lot of liquid may have been water could have been gas coming out of my exhaust. After a few minutes of driving this all stopped but again check engine light came on reading multiple misfires and sometimes says number 6. Any ideas on this?
