A thought on a 2nd battery...

I've been toying with the idea of adding a second battery, but wasn't sure where to put it. Several people here have mounted them in various places around the Xterra, but I'm not too keen on any of them.

I was crawling under the X, checking out some relay rod wear (brand new relay rod toast after GOX by the way), and I suddenly noticed the huge amount of space behind the passenger side of the ARB bull bar.

It's just begging to have a bracket and battery tray bolted in there.
It's close to the stock battery (drivers side has the washer res anyway).
It's protected.

The only drawback I can see is vibration being mounted to the frame instead of the body (although a tray could be body mounted), and damage during a collision (but if the hit is that bad, I'll be more worried about the rest of the Xterra).

Discuss please.
