Performance Cam fo 3.8L

I am currently working on a 3800 Series engine build project. I need to know what kind of performance cam to put in it. Does anyone know the specs like, what kind of rollers the engine has stock? The kind of lifters it has and most of all where to get one, I have been on Jegs.com, autopartswarehouse.com, 3800performance.com, etc, and no one has one. A local custom shop near me has one but they need to know the lift, and duration of the rollers/cam. Plus they want 500 dollars, if anyone know where a good place to look/start would be that would be a huge help thanks.

Re: Performance Cam fo 3.8L

3800performance.com would be at the top of my guess list, but apparently you allready looked there. I know that they have cams and install kits with springs, etc. Look again. Also, SLP makes aftermarket rocker arms with a 1.7 ratio for the 3800. Look into those.

Hope that was a little hepful, but I really don't know much about the stock cam setup.

That list makes me laugh. Lance Abbott isn't even on there.... he's in the deep 12s. Reference fullthrottlev6.com not firebirdv6.... check out http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...isplay.php?f=7

There we've got 4 stickies on cams.

Reason I say reference ftv6 is yes I'm biased.... but check otu the fastest people that are active there vs. the fastest people active on CV6. IMO much better tech advice (and really funny crap in the lounge and multimedia too) on FTV6
