supercharger on a 99 GT

i have a 99 gp/gt. i know that it has the L36 engine and the factory supercharged ones have the L67. i was wondering if i could simple bolt up a factory supercharger to the L36. i need to hear from someone who has done this to know what is involved. i know i can get an aftermarket one but im trying to do it cheaper. i can get a supercharger from the junk yard for a couple hundred instead of a couple thousand. any help would be apprecited

You will for sure have to do some modifications to your L36 in order to get a supercharger kit to work right with it. Clubgp should get you fixed up. Im sure it will cost ya alot.

Bolting the M90 up to the gt engine requires a ton of parts swapping. You need the heads, intake, fuel system, pcm, etc. etc. etc. Not to mention you will be boosting on an engine with weaker pistons and higher stock compression. It has been done by folks and clubgp.com is a good place to find them, but it is alot of work. Zzperformance.com makes a centrifugal supercharger kit for the GT that puts 260 to the wheels if I remember correctly. Considering the gtp throws down 197 at the wheels from the factory you should be pretty happy with it.

Yea, i wouldn't trust my engine holding a nonstock supercharger. Not meant for it since the GTP are alot different as a whole.
