Clicking/gear sound in front steering

I hve a 2000 Corrolla with 225,ooo km on it.

I've noticed recently that when I steer there seems to be a clicking sound in the front.

It sounds as though some steering components are low on fluid or grease.

any thoughts. How does the rack steering work? could it be low of fluid?

Thanks
Tom
