Two questions about my 04 Grand Cherokee

1) Does anyone know how to change the low beam bulb on my cherokee?
It was a pain in the ass to change the high bulbs, but I did it.
The driverside was ok, but the passengerside high beam was hard. I wound up loosening the battery tie down to slide the battery back a little, and it was still hard.

I can't see it possible to replace the low beams without removing the actual headlights.

2) Currently I'm averaging about 13MPG
I know that's a little low for a I-6 so I replaced the air filter, plugs and wires.
Any other options?

Thanks

You need to remove the headlamp housing.
What type of driving - city, highway, mixed?
The 4.0 liter 6 doesn't have plug wires. What wires did you replace?

City and highway driving mixed.

I plan to replace the plugs today, per request from a mechanic.

obviously, I need to get another opinion from another mechanic...LOL

Do you know how to remove the headlanp housing

HEADLAMP (housing/assembly) REMOVAL:

(1) Remove jack screw attaching top of headlamp to headlamp mounting module
(2) Grasp upper inboard and lower outboard corners of headlamp (lower left and upper right) and forcefully pull headlamp outward.
(3) Remove all bulb sockets from headlamp module.
(4) Separate headlamp from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not touch the bulb glass with fingers or other oily surfaces. Reduced bulb life will result.

(1) Install all bulb sockets in headlamp module.
(2) Position headlamp on vehicle and align ball studs with sockets.
(3) Forcefully push headlamp inward to secure ball studs with sockets.
(4) Install jack screw attaching top of headlamp to headlamp mounting module.
