Garage Door paint on car...

Yeah, it happened. My kid ran the car along the frame of the garage door and there appears to be white paint on the black car now. Worse yet, he hid it for some time before I finally spotted it so it's been sitting on there for quite a while. I've tried using a rubbing compound to get it off. That worked to get about 70% of the white off, but the rest seems to be on there "real good." Can anyone recommend a product or approach that I can use to get rid of the white garage door paint without runiing the black paint underneath?

Thanks in advance!

I'd normally try an aggressive grade of detailer's clay -- Meguiar's has one; check an enthusiast store, paint supply or NAPA.

But it sounds like at this point you might just go with a polishing compound or a scratch remover to finesse the finish and remove the rest of the paint transfer -- using a rubbing compound can be a tad harsh.
