throttle / fuel problem4109bob 07-07-2007, 02:27 PM I have a 1989 voyager with a problem accelerating. The symptom is like a carburetor with the accelerator pump not working. the car will start and idle for a short time but wants to quit when the accelerator is depresed. I replaced the air, fuel filters and the throttle position sensor with no change. It also acts like it is running out of fuel when idleing. RIP 07-08-2007, 01:02 AM Check/clean the idle air control valve, throttle body and EGR system. Check fuel pressure. 4109bob 07-16-2007, 09:19 PM Thanks for the help. I rmoved the fuel filter and turned on the key, only some gas came out. Replaced the fuel pump and it runs now. I've been working 16 hours / day 7 days per week for the last two months so I have little time to work on the van or respond. again, thanks for the help. RIP 07-17-2007, 02:32 AM Unfortunately, most don't bother coming back. Fortunately, you bucked the trend. Glad to hear you're on the road again. Thanks. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
