Tails were installed but...

...they don't work. I know either my car recognizes I have different tail lights in OR it doesn't read them at all. I bought TYC tail lights that were tinted by someone on GAGT forums.

The reasons they don't work:

1) Obvious: The lights don't come on
2) When I put a turn signal on, the turn signal flashes like 3 times faster than it should. When I hit the brake, nothing happens for those lights.

I tried this with one light in and one light not in, and it always gets mad when the new tail light is in (specifically for that side). So what should I do? Is it a computer issue or are they just broken or won't work?

Thanks... the sooner I get info the better because I'm hanging out with Purdue's automotive club tomorrow and I want these to be installed. They look SICK! It's amazing! Glad I bought these (assuming they work!).

Re: Tails were installed but...

the reason they blinking fast is probably cuz of the LEDs, every since i put LEDs in my blinkers my turn signal goes mad faster than usual i just never got around to putting in load resistors.

Re: Tails were installed but...

Sorry you bought some bum light Vipey

If you have a bulb(or two) not in or burnt out , they will blink faster.
I thought with the LED bulbs it made them Not flash on our models ... Just what I read somewhere

If you didnt hook them both up at the same time try that.
And look at the plug in ,make sure the contacts are not bent broke or missing...

good luck !

Re: Tails were installed but...

Check the bulbs... make sure they are still good and not burnt out. Also I would check the contacts on the bulbs.... they tend to melt especially if you got any water in the tails they rust and melt the contacts... and won't work later on.
