kicker1_solo, here are the rules to our itr competion

1. finish befor december 2003, yes 2003, that's not a mistake
2.no crying if you lose, I dont' have tissues for you
3.no shiping your body to p-man to have him paint it with his special extras shiny voodo paint
4.no bribing AF members to vote for your car in the poll

And the votes should be based on paint, detail, number of aftermatket parts, and quality

May the best modeler win, I shall see you back here in a couple of months with pictures, and everyone in AF will see my skills (I'm still a newbie) compared to yours.

notify me here everytime yoy complete a box in the the instructions (1. engine 2.firewall, etc) I'm curently on number 1

I am currently working on an ITR too...

n00b,hehe, that's funny, I am a newbie, but after joining AF, i learned how to fix all my mistakes, and my last car was a hair shy of a good modeler,I'm not saying I'm a pro, but I just learned all my mistakes and I'm gonna use my new knowledge in the competion, and the reason I challenged kicker was to see if I could build a stock body integra that looked just as good as his highly modified one.

What's with the extended time frame for this contest? Why not June or something? A year is pretty long if you ask me. Six months is more like it. It time to man-up and built that shit man! :finger:

Well, the way my "highly modified'' project is going, I might be finished by December 4003 :rolleyes:

The reason I said dec03 was because kicker said he'll take a long time finishing so I jokingly said 03

OK, fine, everyone join in, but if we have 20 people in the contest, and we have a little poll, and every one vetes for them selves then it doesnt make sense, we can have a couple of itr's and p-man and jay can judge since they are the moderators, but kicker and I will still have a seperate poll to see whose car is better :finger:

Alright, April 1st, 2003 is the deadline! This contest is open to anyone on the board and is Revell ITRs only. The car that you post can not be one that you have already completed, has to be one that you are currently not very far on or that you will start. And after all of this is over, Integra818 and I will still have a little competition with ours.

If we get plenty of numbers maybe 2 classes.
*Box stock(must have no lowering/moldings/aftermarket stuff etc etc)
*Modified(anything goes)

The two winners then get voted on again by everyone to pick the Grand Champion

I have a 95 ITR that i've not finished yet.
its not like the new ITR's with dual circle headlights, but rather the flat bars, its still an ITR and says so on the box, can i enter it?

Sounds nice, makes me wanna get one. Only my parents are a little bit against it.. got to many waiting and almost none build yet.. (just 5 waiting..)

I don't see that any particular brand of kit should be used myself, since as long as it is an ITR getting built, no matter how you want to build it, then I think it should be well and fine!

I believe the rules are that it must be a Revell ITR in two catagories. 1) being stright from the box with no modifications or added details, and 2) anything goes. Deadline sometime early 03'.

The competition between Kicker and Integra was about the Revell ITR, so that part is right.
But then again, why should everyone be limited to the same kit, what if you want to partake but can only get a Fujimi ITR?

That pretty much narrows it down then , since the Revell kit is the only one that comes with round lights.:rolleyes:

Ok, Ive set the base for the rules and P-man and jay can, and should, modify them to a level they think is good. But wait, who's gonna set all the stuff up? Since I braugt up the competion with kicker, it would only seem fair that I take care of the whole competition, but I'm still kind'of a newbie at AF and since P-man and jay are the moderators, I think for the competition, either Jay or P-man should post the pics, whoe-ever volunteers, but these's gonna be alot of pics! Now, I'm not just turning over all the duties of setting up the competion cuz I'm lazy, but I don't think I'm fit for the job, but Jay and P-man are...
so, If either Jay or P-man would kindly volenteer to controll everything, I would be very happy!

A little competion between me and Kicker has turned into probably the biggest model show in the forum! I just got an idea, how bout we make a seperate gallery just for the competition where everyone can post a couple of pics and write a little something about their car, we'll call it the "Kicker-integra model show", then Jay or P-man could make a seperate thread and show results of all the points, what do ya think Jay? P-man?

All brands of ITR are acceptable, one car per member, can submit up to 5 pictures. If you guys want, I can organize it. What I'd do is have everyone send me their pics and a write up if they'd like and I'd make one huge thread and put everyone's pics/write up in it. How I'd do it is like
1. Kicker1_solo's Revell ITR
write up-blah blah blah

How many ITRs are we gonna have? alot of people want in on the contest, should we set a limit? because,like I said in an earlier post, if we have 20 people in the contest and if everyone votes for them selves, then theres no point, and even if people don't vote for them selves, we would have about 6 cars with 2 votes each and about 12 cars with one vote each, and so on, maybe we could make it like a tournement, if theres 20 cars for example, we could pair them up in two's and have 10 polls then the winner of each poll proceeds to the next round, then we have semifinals then finals, and each poll will last a week... what'da ya think Kicker?

What about making this kind of competition every month?????:)
