wheel fastener

Hey.
You know the kind of wheel fastener that has a bulbous head and like a cross in the middle and the key for it is in the glove box? Does anybody know what that kind of fastener is called?

Re: wheel fastener

I think you are talking about a wheel lock. They are common and if you lose the key you are out of luck removing the wheel from the car unless you know the exact number of the key that came with the locks.

Re: wheel fastener

You should properly fit the key inside the wheel lock and then use a tire tool (tire iron) to remove it.
