Question How to turn off Automatic door locks on 2003??

How do you turn off the automatic door locking feature on 2003's. I have read and tried how the owners manuel said to do it, but now it still unlocks the door when you put it in park. I want it to do nothing, it is very annoying. Perhaps there is some sort of a error in the owners manuel?? Anyone else having problems turning this silly feature off completley??

I've never tried to disable it, so I really don't know. If the owner's manual doesn't help, maybe stop by a local dealership. If you don't mind me asking, why would you want to turn it off? I kinda like the way the auto-lock feature works. It seems to be very well thought out. They're locked while driving, and unlock when you park. I never have to touch 'em .

Figured it out, the owners manuel is wrong

The 2003 are different, you have to listen to the tones thru the speakers. Here is how to turn the automatic locks totally off.

Pull back on the Turn signal/multifuncion Lever all the way toward you until the brights come on, hold it while doing the next step.

Turn key to run and lock twice, ending on lock. Once you do this you will hear lock mechanism lock and unlock, and the horn beep. Now release the signal/multifunction Lever.

Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the driver side door panel once, it will beep. Than press the unlock side three times. It will than beep a total of four times. The automatic locking and unlock will be turned totally off.

Even the dealership could not figure this one out over the phone.
