Supercharger still good?

I have a 97 GTP, with 140,000 miles on it. I'm not extremely familiar with superchargers, and just wanted to know if mine still has some boost left in it, or if it is too old. thx in advance

yea, seems to run fine, I just wanted to know if they stay good if you maintain them, or if they wear out after a certain number of miles.

The Eaton M90 Gen3 blower does not typically wear out regardless of your mileage but can have some maintenance issues.

A few things you can do DIY for maintenance purposes and longer life is check and change the supercharger oil on a more frequent basis other than specified by GM. I do all of my L67 engines annually. If SC oil has not been changed then do it as soon as possible. Listen for any abnormal noises like snout bearing or coupler noises. Bad snout bearings whine or grind and a bad coupler rattles. Other than that it is technically maintenance free. If you are losing boost then it is an internal problem and may require rebuild or replacement.

Now to increase boost you can replace the SC pulley with a smaller one (3.5"-3.4") for more power. One of the best mods you can do to a GTP.
