Cool S15 Jimmy Will NOT Start now....Help!!!

I have a 94 S15 Jimmy with the Famous 4.3 Vortec. I was having problems driving it down the road with a full tank or close to E it ran rough. It would want to stumble around and jerk and basically acting like it was running out of gas. I had the sending unit replaced and the starter, as well as the dist.Cap and rotor. The engine has carbed up on me alot so i took the EGR valve off and cleaned it. The truck started after i did all of that but did not run right. My Problem now is I changed the oil and was looking to see if maybe I had a cracked head on it but the oil was fine. I did drain all the oil, and was messing around with it later in the day and forgot about the oil. For a second I tryed to start it(With no Oil how dumb) could that of cracked the head on it. I Tryed to start it and then it clunked around then i let go of that key, but it never started. I put new oil in Cleaned up the dis. cap put everything back together AND now it will not start at all. What could be that problem????

Sounds like a problem with the CPI fuel injection, either cracked fuel lines and/or a bad fuel pressure regulator but getting it scanned at a repair shop is probably the best way to determine which.

Rilth has a good instruction on a regulator change here...

"Clunk" is a bad sound to hear on a shutoff, does the oil smell like raw gasoline? Bad things can happen when raw gasoline is spraying excessively inside an intake manifold/plenum.
