replacing an a/c condensor

Has anyone replaced a/c condenser on a venture themselves and if so how difficult was it and how long did it take. Thank you

Re: replacing an a/c condensor

Hey,

Here are a couple of links to look at, nothing diffinative but some rough idea:

and:

If you do a search on "AC Condensor Replace" in this forum you may find more.

Good Luck,

Sparky

Wink Re: replacing an a/c condensor

I replaced my 2002 condensor. In a nutshell:

Drain coolant.
Remove fans.
remove radiator
Evac A/C unless that's reason for replacement
Remove condensor.

Note: The new condensor doesn't usually come with drier bottle. If you swap it out with old or new, make sure all gaskets and seals are new. My system passed vacuum test but leaked like sieve when under pressure. New seals prevented this.

It isn't hard, just need patience.
