Reverse/transmissionproblem?

I have a 2000 GA SE.

Occasionally when I back down the driveway, I get out to the road and then throw it in drive and it takes a couple seconds to grab gear. You can give it gas, hear it rev up, and then finally grab. This only happens once in a while. The car shifts great otherwise, no noticeable jerks or anything. Wonder if I wasn't waiting til the car came to a complete stop to put it into drive from reverse? I haven't had the trans fluid changed in a while. Car only has 60,000 miles on it.

Re: Reverse/transmissionproblem?

If your engine is cold, the trans may not be up to operating pressure and temp.

If it slips realy bad or get worse I would suggest taking it to a trans shop and getting it scanned to see if thiers any DTC's.
