I had one come on; he says I have an EVAP leak. But also said that there are a couple codes for

P1602 SAys it is for the ABS

Re: Couple Codes in the System

p1602 - serial data communication failure with electronic brake control module
I would say the EBCM has troubles or has at one time.

p1641 - Malfunction indicator light control circuit
Do you have a bulb out ?

Re: Couple Codes in the System

thanks for your help...ONce I posted it, I thought it probably was an acronym for brake control.

I searched the forums; for this. I seen a response that you gave on some else's problem. COuld I tell which sensor is going without having it scanned?

Re: Couple Codes in the System

Probly not.
It could be a short or malfunction, if it got wet or thier's a short in the wiring.

The ECBM is only 1 module, it controls the ABS and SRS signals to process. Usually under the pass seat.
The stealership or someone with a Tech II (or compatible) scanner can tell what's wrong.
