Thumbs down Auto Parts Giant RIP OFF

Has anyone else ever ordered anything from AutoPartsGiant.com? I ordered a EGR Solenoid for a 1991 Corvette from them about a Month ago and fear I've been ripped off. They don't answer any of their Emails. They have a Telephone number to place orders and get the status of an order. I have been hung up by them 3 out of the 5 calls I made. I have been finding several post by people on other Forum sites on the Internet saying they were taken by these people too. I was just wondering if anyone here has ever delt with them and if you have had the same trouble. I would suggest to everyone to avoid this Company at all cost. They also charged my Credit Card the same day I placed the order. Most honest companies don't charge your card until the item has been shipped.

AUTO PARTS GIANT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never heard of it. I recently used RockAuto.com and had a great experience. Parts were easy to find and shipping was fast!!

I agree that Rock Auto is the way to go, super fast shipping, never a problem there.

Contact your credit card company and tell them since you never received the goods, they should credit your account. Have all your paperwork in front of you when you call them.

Re: Auto Parts Giant RIP OFF

Thanks for the Info about RockAuto.com. I finally got a response from AutoPartsGiant.com after about 30 Emails and 10 or more Phone calls and finally reporting them to the Better Business Bureu (which there were tons of other complaints). They did credit my Card finally and said the part was out of stock after being told by one person that "it was shipped" and then told by another that is was "in their Warehouse".
I also tried RockAuto and got an email the very next day saying that the part was not available, and even a Phone call saying the same thing and they also said that they will keep me on their list if they do find one. RockAuto knows how to run a Business and seemed like they actually care about their Customers. Unlike AutoPartsGiant who could care less about the Customers who keep them in Business. I heard of one guy being ripped off for $1,500 from these crooks. AVOID AutoPartsGiant like the Plague and please let others know. It's companies like APG that make good companies like RockAuto look bad. In the Future, I will only deal with RockAuto if I need any parts that I can't find localy.
By the way, if anyone knows where I can locate an EGR Solenoid for a 1991 Corvette, please let me know.

Thanks again

Re: Auto Parts Giant RIP OFF

Always had good luck with RockAuto myself, so I tend to avoid other online companies.

Re: Auto Parts Giant RIP OFF

Ditto! Autopartsgiant.com are professional rip-off artists.

Ordered in June 2007. They posted charges to my credit card within minutes. Never received merchandise. Near impossible to contact, finally(after 8 calls) got the manager "Ed," who promised to refund to my credit card ASAP. Never happened. Filed dispute with my credit card issuer.

Last Thursday(8/2) ordered same parts from RockAuto.com. Order was shipped from two warehouses and received today(8/8). RockAuto still has not posted charges to my credit credit. Great folks!

Re: Auto Parts Giant RIP OFF

I was lucky. I made my paynment through paypal . This was letter I sent to paypal.
On 12-27-07, I made an online purchase through you to the Autoparts Giant. Your transaction Id number was 33479735MN830722X On that same day you debited $82.61 from my account. The invoice number was 2122398. As of 01-09-08 I had not received my order. I called Autoparts Giant and spoke to Andy who told me that they did not have an invoice for that number. I gave him the paypal transaction number and told him that they had already received my money. He said he would put it through again. That same day I received an email stating that Order Invoice - #151895 has been shipped. I waited until Tuesday, 1-22-08 and still did not have my order. I called that day and was told to call back on Wednesday because they had to find the tracking number. I called back on Wednesday and was told they would email it to me when they found it. I called back on Thursday and spoke to Andy who told me that the order was never filled and that I should look elsewhere. I told him that I ordered on 12-27-07 because I needed the mirrors in order to pass inspection before 1-31-08. He told me to send an email to customer service which I did. I never got an answer. I called today and was put on a supervisor's voicemail. I never got a call back. I called again and spoke to Andy. I told him I wanted my money back. He said it would take 3-5 days to go through. He told me that only the manager could cancel an order. He was going to speak to him. I told him to call me back. I never got called back. I even took your suggestion and called Jon the manager and left a voicemail and my phone number. I never heard from him either. Now I have no mirrors, no money to buy them with and I will not be able to drive my vehicle after next Thursday. Does paypal know anything about the venders using their services? I like using paypal, but I will be reluctant to use your service in the future. Do a Goggle complaint search on this company. The complaints will be a carbon copy of mine. I just want my $82.61 back NOW

Within 10 minutes Auto Pats GianT responded and said that my order was on back order and I wold be refunded my money. I was never told anything about a back order. My money was returned to my account right away. Thank god for paypal.
