The chinky-eyed look is very popular in japan. HOwever what you may speak of in regards to "thinner lights" is the new S-15 "strawberry face" look that belongs on the 98- silvia's....

Actually, the S14 is '95-'98. The S15 is following that to current. Within the S14 era exists the zenki (so called 'round headlights') and kouki (tapered lights). These are common terms used in Japan to represent automakers' incorporation of minor facelifts (almost like sequential lettering).

The fact that it is not popular is purely subjective. Furthermore, you've just said an oxymoron. The simple reason that you suggest that the S15 rear end is not very popular and looks too "AMERICAN"
contradicts your proceeding statement, "when it comes to cusotmizing a car...i'd suggest being more unique..do not follow anybody else's ideas...especially a company like HKS..otherwise you'll simpley be a BITER..." So if the S14 rear ends are more popular, and you go with that, won't you then be following trend? I say go for it and try the S15 rear on an S14. It's going to cut all the way into the forward half of the C-pillar, but
at least you would be unique.
