whining transmission 2006 T & C

My neighbor and both bought 2006 Town & Countries with under 20,000 miles from a dealer who bought them from a CA rental agency. Both of our cars start to whine after driving about an hour, even when the car is stopped for awhile. Any ideas? Caledl dealer and they said it wasn't a problem

unfortunetly these trannies do have a tendancy to whine and its probably something you are going to have to live with or trade it in . It isn't harming anything other than being annoying. Have heard it on both of ours .

It should be pointed out. That the transmissions can make a whine noise, either from a restricted filter. Or, as the normal noise, from the transfer gears.
