computerized to non computerized ignition

Have a 1985 5.0 c10 pickup. Need to replace the distributor. The truck has an ecm box in it behind the glove box.
The question I have is can I use a non computerized distributor and by-pass the ecm box by jumpering the A and C pins on the ecm plug?

NO.

Get a CCC distributor. Your engine will thank you, your right foot will thank you, and those around you who have to breathe your trucks' air will thank you.

Seriously, you will disable the operation of the computer without the distributor. The fuel economy will suffer, and your trucks' performance will suffer.
