I have looked through the forums and cannot get a picture of where my EGR valve may be.

I have a 2002 Blazer Extreme.. Can someone give me an idea.. I had a buddy of mine look at my engine and he couldn't find it either.. Not just by looking...

Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine. Look immediately to the left (toward the driver's side) of the water outlet/thermostat housing. The EGR valve should be right there, angled outward directly toward the front.

2002 was the year that the 4.3 lost the EGR valve.

So what would be causing my Blazer to idle rough?

How many miles, when was the last tuneup? Possibly put bad gas in? Could be a multitude of different things.

It has 82,000 miles roughly.. And when I purchased the vehicle I called the previous owner and he told me that is had just had a tune-up... I believe I bought the vehicle at about 64,000 miles.
