Squeeking Truck

Hey all. I haven't posted here in quite awhile. I've got a 2002 Z71 with the 5.3L. I took her offroading a few weeks ago and got kind of rough with her. She handled everything great (until I got into about 8 inches of alkali clay, then I needed help getting out). Since then I've picked up quite a few creaks and squeeks while driving. I think some of them are suspension, but the others sound like they're coming from my wheels. I haven't noticed anything in the performance, but it's really annoying. My stereo is loud enough that I can drown it out, but I feel like I'm driving a POS because to everyone else they just hear the squeeks. At 1st I thought I would just do a lube job, but then was told that with the new 1/2 tons, Chevy took away all the lube fittings and went with "lifetime lubed" parts. Is this true? Anyone have any advice on how to solve my problem? I've washed it very VERY well since then so I don't think it's a dust/dirt issue.

On my 03 1/2 ton z71, and my 03 2500hd they both have 11 grease zerks, not sure about the 02, but cant imagine they would do away with them for one year. my 01 1/2 ton gmc had them.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to crawl up underneath and see if they're there. Are the locations for the zerks on that link provided pretty standard? They're listed as the deisel and mine isn't a desiel.

Re: Squeeking Truck

Pull the wheels off. I think there are around four on each side, and one on the drive shaft.
