i've been pooling around the idea of opening and running a race track in the central ontario region. I haven't been able to find much information on laws regarding ownership or insurance policies. I found a little information to do with owning and using cars for race purposes. Is there anyone who can refer me to a website where i can find more information on ownership. My intent would be to not using strictly for racing purposes, using the land for racing schools and truck driving schools. I would also plan to have a shop with a dyno other performance testing equipment. My goal is to open an area for car fans to have a place where they can see what their cars can do compared to what they are told they can do when they buy it. If the track is used for testing instead of racing purposes would that be a loop hole. I did read that there is a law regarding anything being timed is considered a race. Can anybody help me out here?
