97 318i with 217k hesitates in acceleration when temp is near cntr(during high rpms, car will stall at low rpm). This pattern will continue for approximately 10-15 mins and then the acceleration will return to normal. I just had the plugs, valve cover gasket, spark plug gasket, mass air flow meter replaced. I also replaced the temperature sensor about a year and a half ago (car sat for about 6 months). During the hesitation, it may backfire or a girgling sound may emerge from either under the hood or under the engine.
